We drove to another hilltop village with medieval beginnings. San Gimignano is famous for its towers, and for its role as backdrop to Franco Zefferelli’s “Romeo & Juliet” movie from 1970. We found wonderful Tuscan views and cappuccino. We also learned that if you order ‘biscotti’ you get served a variety of cream and chocolate desserts…so I’m working on that one.
Nancy has learned that if you walk up to the proprietor of the local bistro and say ‘pasta?’, that he will open the kitchen after it is closed, explain the menu and serve three kinds of spaghetti for just a few Euros. What a woman!
Your efforts are appreciated!
Those towers are amazing.
See you soon.
Jan told me about your blog. Deleted to see that you and Catherine are enjoying places we have been beloved.
Buon viaggio! It all looks like great info and a good time!
